PREREQUISITE:

  • You must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid FOID: Have a valid Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Identify the dangers and potential misuse of firearms.

  • Understand the legal use of force and graduated response (non-lethal/lethal).
  • Gain basic skills in Close Quarter Battle (CQB).
  • Explore ethical and moral considerations.
  • Examine legal aspects related to firearm use.
  • Understand shooting fundamentals.
  • Learn rifle and shotgun fundamentals
  • Sling management.

    • Distances: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 yards
    • 50 Rounds
  • Shotgun
    • Distances: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 yards

  • Rifle
    • Distances: 1, 10, 15, 20, and 25 yards
    • 50 Rounds
